Meet our Owner & Director – Jie

Jie is the proud Owner, Director and Educational Leader of Marino Early Learners. A registered teacher in South Australia, she holds a Master of Education (Early Childhood Teaching) and a Graduate Diploma in Education (Secondary Teaching), bringing more than 15 years of experience across early childhood, primary and secondary education. She is dedicated to creating a warm, home-like environment where children feel secure, respected and encouraged to thrive.

Her career has spanned both school and early learning settings. Before joining Marino Early Learners in 2018, Jie taught students from Reception to Year 9 in several South Australian schools. Inspired by the profound impact of the early years on children’s development, she completed her Master of Education (Early Childhood Teaching) in 2017 and later undertook further professional studies through Harvard University’s Early Childhood Development program in 2022.

As a leader, Jie is committed to delivering meaningful learning experiences that nurture children’s curiosity, confidence, creativity and sense of belonging. Her vision has helped Marino Early Learners become a trusted, community-focused centre where every child is known as an individual and supported to flourish.

Jie’s commitment to children extends beyond the centre. She is an active contributor to the early childhood sector across South Australia, currently serving as Vice President of the Australian Childcare Alliance South Australia, a Board Member of the Education Standards Board, and a Council Member of the Industrial Skills Council. Through these roles, she contributes her knowledge and experience to sector discussions and collaborates with the Department for Education to promote quality outcomes for children and families.

At the heart of Jie’s philosophy is a simple belief: the early years lay the groundwork for a lifetime of learning, wellbeing and opportunity. She believes every child deserves access to high-quality education and care in a safe environment that sparks wonder, encourages exploration and celebrates each child’s unique strengths. This belief continues to guide her work and shape the culture of Marino Early Learners every day.
